i just thought this was gonna be the typical transported-into-a-fantasy-world plot, but it really quite is different from that. i thought huimin (MC) was gonna have to go through all the "dark romance" stuff that happened in the book he read and guessed that this was gonna be another glorified non-consensual-stockholm-syndrome-type story, but i really love that he was hellbent on making sure that the events in the book never happened— he's such a great character, and i love that he didn't take anyone's shit !! iheon (ML) was alright, he cracks me up sometimes and he's super attractive, as much as he is a pain in the ass as a character, but i respect him for also trying to actively change his past mistakes and prioritize making huimin happy until the end. i also love the plot twist in the end— it takes this isekai-type plot to a whole new level, as much as it was a little confusing LOL overall, this was a really great story, i enjoyed everything about it, and the artstyle is also gorgeous. kudos to the og author and the artists !!
they were doing so WELLL ALL THEY HAD TO DO WAS JUST TALK, but of course they (taesoo) had to go down the crazy route. i left this story alone for a year bc i felt so bad for yeomin during season 1, but ig i have to leave it alone again for another year get it TOGETHER taesoo, jeez
i'm glad jinx has finally ended! ive been reading this since it was released and i have a love-hate relationship with this series tbh. i enjoyed season 2 a WHOLE lot more than season 1 (for very obvious reasons), but i wish that the yearning and desperation on jaekyung's end was longer, because it felt like he really only wanted to be with dan because of his guilt (which dan mentioned himself) and the need to not be alone (but mingwa did mention that they didn't mean to rush the plot, so its understandable). i wish we could've seen jaekyung doing more to redeem himself, and for dan to grow a stronger back-bone, but alas, i'm glad dan has gotten his happy ending, and jaekyung seems like a changed man (in his own way). overall a 7/10 story
GOD i wish they brought a puppy with them but on the bright side, i'm glad we're finally seeing some kind of reflection and regret on jaekyung's side (after YEARS) for how he treated dan. i hope mingwa makes this man beg and cry like a baby when the heavy HEAVY angst comes <33
the story is kinda cute, and the art style is kinda eh but my GOD it is also absolute BOOTY CHEEKS. so many plot holes and inconsistencies, and the flow is way too fast paced. what didn't make sense to me was the love triangle— it was incorporated so early into the story, and suddenly forgotten half way towards the end when the MC and ML get together. like i wish they put more emphasis on taeoh's feelings, and how he responded when the MC got SA'ed (especially since there was a shared panel between taeoh and dogeun when they both found haesoo). the MC also kinda got on my nerves bc GOD he is an absolute idiot sometimes.
also, what in gods name was up with the second couple JESUS CHRIST. i think haejun was the only character with some kind of common sense bc taeoh was definitely acting weird af, and the fact that he suddenly grew feelings for haejun when he was crushing on heesoo for a long time was just so EUGH to me, like im still convinced none of that was true love.
anyways, 5/10.
its deadass 3:10 am rn . i started reading this at 10 pm . i was supposed to be asleep at 12 now i have to sleep and pretend that the ending was satisfactory and that i'm totally not gonna lose my mind waiting for extra chapters hahshsgsgs . great story, but i wish the ending was done better
i read this story on a whim and THANK GOD I DID !! at first, i was a little concerned about luke having a gf, since i have read a couple stories where the MC will self-sabotage their relationship with the ML bc of internalized homophobia and would rather force themselves to date their female partner, rather than accept that they're gay— however in luke's case, he was quite calm and accepting of his sexuality, and was able to healthily communicate his struggles with andrew as their relationship progressed. on that note, andrew is such an enigma !! his past was so interesting, and i wish we could've seen him interact with his father in the present, and maybe even have him meet luke. their relationship was quite healthy, and i like the reassurance that they gave each other (moreso luke towards andrew lol), plus the additional cast were amazing !! w malcolm
