The author ends up making Nergal as Cliff's other self or something or that he's actually Cliff but with no memories of Leon (due to whatever reason) who will later regained his memories back, regret the whole thing, and then make Leon accept him because that's his long lost lover

Out of all ways Jaekyung could go for a confession and convincing Dan to stay and Mingwa went with this I don't mind another 100 chapters if it means we can see Kim Dan slowly accepting Jaekyung and Jaekyung slowly improving himself, rather than this cryfest.
