With his unsorted feelings and displeasure, Ilic travelled to a far place so he could avoid facing Sayan. It was as if he just wanted to run away from the truth. That's why he is in that inn in side 19.
After hearing the actual will, he had a dream about Sayan dying years ago in side 18. He woke up crying and Sayan came to him.
