honestly i think it's more just a barrier/self defense mech he has put up for himself. he is in love with another alpha but since he believes he can't be with him, he needs a firm excuse for not pursuing it and protecting his own feelings, which is that they are both alphas. so if he can easily accept another alpha's feelings, then what was the point of not making a move on his bff all this time yk lol.

I have a different theory. Like maybe MC doesn't date alphas bc he's scared that any alpha he dates will leave him for an omega.

I love the story diving into all the psychological stuff and the characters are really well-written. I get how they fall in love and how the love is so heavy it left Cheol with such a huge scar.
Putting the main couple aside, in this story Cheol really had been throw so many horrible things at. And he still has a good heart (he has a lot of flaws now, but given so many shietty things happened in his life, he hasn't gone to suicide or become a total ass, already show how strong he is in itself).

I wish I can like this comment lol. I love Minyoung but I love Cheol's character. I love that the author didn't go to heartless cold mc route. That's why I am pissed whenever someone speaks badly of him and his choices when it's the product of his past, like y'all can't expect him to be all brave and sht when all his life he's been abused and hurt

I at first was also annoyed at his character, but it's a premise to make us wonder why he is who he is right now (instead of just setting up for the drama, and stuff).
Cheol whole life was abuse after abuse. His house, he got abuse by his parents. At school, by his classmate just because he is poor. In love, just need to look at it objectively, you can tell Minyoung is controlative and if he really intentionally out Cheol without his consent, then it's just another form of mentally abuse.

Cheol hasn't totally broken down and still trying to live already showcase a strong will. I also am pissed when someone said Cheol isn't deserving or telling him to fight back - cause people honestly haven't read enough to understand how mentally caged a person when all their life they have been throw toxic words back to back to back by ppl aroudn them and then betrayed by the person they loved and trusted the most. Given his circumstances, how many can do better? Without comitting to crime?

It's the flaws that made him human and space for growth. Honestly, in my opinion, it's Minyoung who needs to change to deserve Cheol again, like, dude stalk him for 1x years, track his conversation, and probably has put gps on him somewhere, any regular person probably already gone crazy with this much monitoring and stalking.
Cheol is a survivor, to be able to continue after what happened.
