after all these years ive finally finished this, and it feels so bittersweet. definitely one of the best shoujo manga ive ever read, i loved all the characters' stories and the extra with grandpa had me sobbing at the end.
this is literally peak found family, I love how each of the characters were fleshed out and the overarching theme of how anyone deserves second chances no matter their struggles.
i just looove the goose symbolism used in this one, especially at the end where the dreams wolf hayden chooses brett over the goose that represented his attempt to conform to what he thought Hayden wanted. he tried so hard to handle everything himself and protect hayden that he lost sight of the fact that hayden just wanted him, even with all his imperfections. Their relationship is flawed but portrayed so well, kudos to the artist and writer.
