It's because the illustrations kept getting shorter, 1 chapter in the novel took atleast 1.5-2 in the manhwa that's why it feels longer.

The main character is a child she's in plenty adult situations. If the creature dont fit how young she is she can die if the creature was big it would talk alot of her mana/life force in one go m thats how I see it
the reason why korean have so many child related manhwa because in asia we have low birth rate. Same with flower boy types. There are so many research about this
