Killing any of the characters because they are basically "different" from what society forces them to be: Yoshiki for being gay, "Hikaru" for being a monster (gay), Tanaka (who got institutionalized for being disabled) is such a bad messaging. Mokuren wanted to tell a beautiful story, they said it themselves. Killing them is plain bad writing. :))
