I really came in hoping a "slop story" (I don't see it in a bad way, I really need slop story to just put my brain on pause sometime when life or work is too much) yet, I end up learning a lot about ads and industry in a very nice way
The fact we see debate between the mc and the ml make me really learn and understand that world better, without making it boring. It's actually so smart and they really made it into the characters. It's really amazing I rec it !

Did you all think she would be able to rest properly and safely without any problem if they told her "btw you miscarriaged, yeah sorry, this suck...now you need to sleep"
Because they haven't told.her doesn't mean they wouldn't tell her. I think many wanted to while another wanted to tell her. But this wasn't the moment. What her father did is horrible and egoistic.
Also, her entire support system (her husband) wasn’t there. He physically couldn’t be there for her at the time. He needed her safe and away before he could be there to comfort her. HE as the father of the child deserved the right to be there for his wife and grieve THEIR child together. NO ONE had the right to take that away from him or her. Granted, riftan could have been better before they left and said he loves her no matter what and that he’d be coming for her soon and to wait for him. I’m afraid that because he was so cold and so angry the last time she saw him, she will think that he actually doesn’t want to stay married to a woman who miscarried.
Also, I don’t think the magic was the cause of her miscarriage. I think her being beaten by a goblin or whatever it was was the cause because didn’t they make it extra obvious that they hit the belly? Depending on how long the baby’s been cooking but babies are pretty resilient to a mother’s temporary stress IF she’s healthy. Her magic was drained after she was attacked so there really was just no chance at recovery for the baby. And yes, you would be able to tell you miscarried but with all the stress and trauma she went through, it’s likely her brain made her hazy on all the details of everything that happened including the miscarriage.
Once again, you need to think more about the context.
Why the mother is doing nothing : fear. First she is probably scared that if she come in between, the dad will beat him more and herself. Survival instinct is something crazy and he probably threatened her that way. Also, how can she protect him more than shield that wouldn't work. It doesn't seems she is working, so if she takes him away, how will she able to raise him without money? Without a house ?
Same thing works for the uncle but in worst, first he is often in foreign countries, so not often présent. Second, even if he has money, he doesn't have the legal guard of him, he can't suddenly show up and take the kid away, not sure this is how justice works.
And finally : damnit, this is a story, it's a fiction, WE NEED THIS DRAMATIC STORY SO WE CAN UNDERSTAND HOW THE CHARACTERS WORKS. Seriously stop insulting characters that makes just sense in this story..if what we were witnessing was about real people, it would be different but rn, it's a story. What we ask you as a reader is to understand the story, their character and what kind of meaning the author want to give you all. I understand most of you reader as expressing their direct feelings but you also all need to take a few step back and look at the whole image, look at every characters pov.
Also the Uncle has DEFINITELY dealt with his brothers abuse growing up so he might have some instilled fear in him as well.
