this was so good!! i loved playtime w hakdo so i knew this would be pretty good too but its honestly better than i expected. love love love the lighting in here.. its a recurring theme bc of taewook’s love for the ring and the shining lights that accompany it, but the details in the lighting in the art and the eyes reflecting the light… i think its superb :3 minchan grew on me bc he definitely changed for the better. hes gotta step up now! u’re a father!!! now i wanna see bebe… gimme bebe

this was so good! unfortunately, i never warmed up to the grandfather. it was hard to overlook that he just kept going on and on about his first love with little regard to laura, his late wife.
it wouldve been different in my eyes if he married laura for political reasons as people do in these settings. but he mentioned that she was his last love and he ended up unable to live without her after he realized his feelings for her. ok, reasonable, people can move on and love other people. HOWEVER, he said this but STILL continued to only go on about lila/layla, his first love!!!! WHY!! perhaps im not as old as he is and cannot comprehend but it feels a bit disrespectful, no?
quoting yvette: he had a wonderful wife, why continue obsessing over his first love? it became unreasonable the moment he obsessed over the langton name, solely bc of his first love. laura definitely deserved someone who loved her wholeheartedly, and we’ve never even met her character!
anyways.. still a great read. yvette was probably my favorite bc of her chaotic-ness and how real she was in hating that grandfather. the side stories were absolutely beautiful and i cant help but think of how criminal it is that euse only showed up in the side stories.. what a lovely character, but i think his little arc was great. wouldve been lovely for more but it ended well.
