People are being dramatic because the chapters are so short but honestly it hasn't been that long in terms of the narrative. They're in a conflict rn yes but the story would be boring and shallow if they never fought, and like... Real relationships have their ups and downs. I get that people just want a fluffy escapist manga but you can't have rainbows without rain. Besides, communication issues have literally been a key theme throughout - music is the main way that Mitsuki relates to the world and the way she relates to Aya. To build a genuine and lasting relationship, Mitsuki needs to learn to communicate without music as a crutch. And honestly I'm glad we're getting this arc, it's so much more satisfying seeing a couple grow together and overcome challenges than it is to just get endless chapters of mindless fluff, and it's rare for a yuri to have such a genuine interest in portraying textured relationships that don't just rely on external factors and petty misunderstandings coming between characters who immediately get a happy every after once the story ends.
There are short chapters because it takes a lot of time to draw, especially in his style, and because it's adapted into a "Manga". I have the first 3 tome so the chapters correspond to one or two pages.
aaaa this comment THANK YOU! i've seen a lot of doomposting about the updates on a lot of social media platforms and while, yes, it's valid to worry and be frustrated about what's currently happening in their relationship, being in one is not aways gonna be a walk in the park so there'll be issues here and there but i believe they'regonna get through it
Nvm I'm fighting with my gf rn and I don't feel like being reasonable anymore. This sucks, lesbians should get a free pass from god never to suffer a_x
A certain site beginning with "b" and ending with "ato.to" has volume 8 in case anyone was wondering. Volume 9 was also released in Japanese about two weeks ago, so hopefully there'll be some translations up in the next few weeks/months...!!
