yes the MC WILL end up with his 'boss'. the guy with the brownbeard is most likely a childhood friend or a person noah helped in time of need. there is nothing romantic between them at least on the present and its pretty clear that both noah and allen are getting easily jealous of each other,so yeah there is no third guy. oh[spoiler]
