Im genuinely so confused on the time passing.. maybe I just wasn’t processing what I read? Like Selene was 7 and 5 years pass and now she’s 18? Did her magic work on her body and I just wasn’t paying attention? Did more time pass than I thought? Honestly if someone could explain i’d be so grateful! <3
Originally she was like 12 but her body was that of a 7 year old. she did magic on her body to make it grow yo her Original age and got sick due to that.
she was i think around 5-6 years old when the curse happened, and took a toll on her body which made the empress (her mom) the decision to ran away with her and use her remaining magic to bring back time when selene's still a baby and have the curse to herself. and when selene reached the age of 7 (of the current time/2nd life) her mom passes away and the emperor found her which is then the 1st or 2nd chapter of the story. so they added up her age, 5 years old (cursed timeline) + 7 years old (free of curse and current timeline) = 12 years old. That's why when the white haired siblings visited the palace they kept saying that she is too smol to be the same age as them. then 5 years passed which the latest chapter she turned 18.
if you look closely at the chapters where the emperor shared the backstory of lorraine and how did selene got the curse. you can see them having a short age gap. theo was around 7 years old when the emperor & empress decided to adopt lorraine which is just a year younger than theo which is 6 years old, and if my memory serves me right, trayle is around 4-5 years old that time, and selene might still be swimming around inside the emperors body or is already conceived by the empress. so basically, they ALL continue to age (numerically and physically) except for selene who return as a baby, but they still kept her original age to count till this day. i hope this helps!
