jesus this chapter is so sinister when you think abt compton's other appearances. in one of his first scenes he's doing the same thing to another character named lila and she seems visibly uncomfortable being around him that time. SO THATS WHY. this place needs a FUCKING HR DEPARTMENT someone send compton to the mental hospital already!! (even the regular hospital would be fine with me)

god its so weird at the beginning of the ch. now i really wanna know why everyone was tryna crowd garam, they're all being overly nice and introducing themselves out of nowhere. i was worried for a second that they were doing it so someone could steal from him or plant some kind of camera/microphone. if it was just to separate him from kathy, that makes sense too, but damn this entire compton arc has full of weird cult-y shit so idfk
