The story is not good enough to read beyond seeing how the FL and ML get together. They're pretty much together at this point. I don't care who the bad guys are. Happily ever after for the king and our lady.
I don't know why, but it's clear she loves him and has for decades. She's not going with Cassio. And Cassio is a prick, manipulating Emilia from what she actually wants to do with Ophelia letters. Like seriously, she didn't need "help" to do a bunch of crap she never wanted to do in the first place.
