I really enjoyed how well-thought-out was the mythology part of this story, as well as plot twists connected to it. I think the beginning chapters are the weakest, but then the story gains momentum and is a very good read.
Reading to see if their children will be divine beasts or not is like playing the sims and making your sim woohoo with a local ghost or vampire or whatever and waiting to see what the baby will be
