a lot of readers only read illegally because they simply cannot afford to spend so much money per chapter, and with the current situations in the world, i dont think people have the extra money to spend on one single chapter regardless of if theyre employed.
imo, the best solution would be something like crunchyroll, making sites/apps with subscriptions and full access to any available manhwa/hua/ga. you can pay a monthly fee, and be able to read anything u want without having to pay for one chapter of a story that you might not even like.
i completely understand supporting the authors and all, but thats where merch would come in handy.
