whoa, i read it and dropped it two times before giving it one last chance, and they really meant it when they said third times the try. my last prior attempts of read were before it delved into seven’s backstory, and im really glad i kept on reading. stuff i was confused on — i.e. seven saying how he’s jerked off other guys, yadayada im too tired to think of other examples but you get my gist — were all explained with his backstory. it was well-thought out from the beginning, and i liked how the plot points aligned with the ones that were set up early on. both akamatsu and seven’s interactions were adorable, and i couldn’t help but “awwee” every once in a while. i loved their dynamic and their progression seemed so natural. it was a really good read, one of the best ive had in a while, and i don’t know how i didn’t continue earlier.
but two things i would like to note is how some of the facial expressions just took me for a loop. to preface, id like to say i love the artstyle and its one of the more interesting and memorable ones ive read. but some of them… for example, one of akamatsu crying when he’s lonely after seven started working for takasu again, it looked so ridiculous it made me burst out laughing. additionally, the disney-esque scene of them in the forest was ridiculous, but i’d say it fits with the comedic tone. it was just wild and i didn’t expect that after the ride of the chapters before.
anyways, great read. added to my list of favorites, a list that hasn’t been touched by anything new in months. ive gone through a multitude of emotions reading this, and i loved every second. really wished i pulled through the first time, because wow, i could have experienced this much earlier.
that scene where seven said to eight that he was gonna “rape and kill” his woman raised some eyebrows, but i guess it was reasonable considering the emotions he felt in that moment i guess…. considering how eight did basically the same to akamatsu. i dont see anyone else talking about that part, so i just wanted to point it out.
oh also the age gap isnt typically my cup of tea, but they pulled it off. ok sorry thats all i needed to say i talk alot ok bye
