Eh I see where the mom is coming from still harsh but between the line ( as I was reading it) I think she was trying to protect graham since she knows he son best and probably saw all his ex’s suffer due to her son. I could be incorrect about it but that’s how I interpreted it but wish she was nicer to graham tho

I'd say it's both. Shock from his son now gay, but also to give some reality check to Garam. She can't exactly be too nice to him yet. I like it, the contrast with her being cold to warm would pay off better later on.
