Was rereading this story and saw a comment Calling Regis selfish and cringey and omg i feel so offended on his behalf. That poor man saw his father, mother,wife and even his own daughter die in front of his eyes. That man raised her all alone while dealing with that emperor yes he wasn't loving because duh he had to maintain his distance to keep her safe. He had absolutely no idea that jubelian remembered her past life so for him she was still that naive girl who would fall in love with any man showing her any ounce of affection, and lets not forget the reason max went to visit jubel was to get rid of her
