Literally one of the best mangas I've read in a while. Heiner's character development is so overwhelmingly impressive. I love how complex the characters are. Heiner is such a well written complex character. The author did such an amazing job they truly deserve all the praise. Annette is literally my fav. My girl went thru soo much she's literally soo strong. I can feel the manga ending and it let me tell u IM NOT AT ALL DISAPPOINTED. Even if they get together now (which they will ofc) I won't complain anymore cause they already went thru so much they deserve each other and their own happiness
If I remember correctly, the novel has an ambiguous ending of just them existing at the same time and only implied that they're getting back together.
Hands down the best character development I've read in a while. No excuse for Heiner's shitty behaviour nor Annette's infuriating naivety. It's a satisfying story all in all.
The main story ends ambiguously but the side story does have them be together.
