Toxicity isnt the problem for me, romanticizing is. These types of stories have a issue with just sexualizing and romanticizing all kinds of shit instead of showing things how they just are. Yk there will be a happily ever after even after all of this. So criticism is very welcome
tbh, i dont even know why romanticizing is in this discussion because if you have read the novel, it deeply explores how deep Zhenya's character is and how he develop his character throughout the story. (I would absolutely not defend his actions because clearly it is morally and legally wrong). the problem is there are so many scenes that the manhwa readers have not known yet but keeps reducing the story into something that romanticize abuse and to xicity (some even call it fetishization). the story gave us perspective on gray areas of humanity and how we as a human overcome this concerning problems to be a better person for the person we cherish. tho i appreciate criticism like yours, i just dont like how people state theirs ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
The things ive heard from the novel are kind of different, maybe people see it from different points of views. But this manhwa itself is not showing itself as something that delves deep into moral grey areas, and instead draws on long and erotic sex scenes that are vile and abusive in nature. That does more talking than any meaning the author intended it to be
