I'm curious about how everyone rate their ongoing/already read stories. What is your criteria for rating a story as 5 stars, 4 and so on? To start with mine: 1-2 str: did not like or stopped early on/halfway through, so I don't log them in 3 str: missing potential with the introduced storylines. Finished the story just for the sake of finishing it 4 str: I like it/it was good enough to finish reading! It does what it sets out to do (plot gets resolved, character dynamic that blooms naturally), but I wouldn't have thought about rereading/revisiting it in the future. I also put some stories as 4.5 that othwerwise would've been 5 str if it wasn't for some issues (like a rushed ending for ex) 5 str: absolutely love it- had me clutching my heart and all that. Amazing plot, characters, relationships, and a satisfying ending.
Honestly I'm a pretty simple reader, it doesnt take much for me to give something 5 stars as long as I had some fun along the way. 4 stars is usually if I end up getting pretty bored but still found it mostly enjoyable 3 stars is usually it was ehhhhh like I dont hate it but it could have been better 2 is just it pretty much sucks and wish I didnt waste my time on it 1 star - Honestly lmao I think the only story I gave one star was wet sand cuz I hated the fucking ending lmaoooooooooo I didnt even bother finishing it cuz I waited to find out who was end game and it wasnt who I wanted.

same here tbh, i also rate stuff this way. its simple, and its just being honest with yourself. im here to read comics and if reading that is a hell of a ride for me its a 5/5.
My rating is based on my enjoyment: 5 stars if i enjoyed a story in every sense- it should make me feel something very strongly 4 stars if a story is enjoyable but it has not blown my mind away or something. 3 stars if I struggle to complete the story by any reason- wheather it's anything in the story that bothered me or if it was simply boring I don't usually rate 1-2, I just drop the story but if I do... it's because the story was probably very boring to me

I give all my read/reading stories 5 stars cuz I rly can't be bothered by that rating system. Though I take tags pretty seriously tho.
