... I just started reading but this is the first official translation in a while that I've seen be written this immaculately. The translation work is sublime. It's contextually polite and floral but not over the top. It's condensed and worded carefully and precisely.

It's pretty nice to see a webtoon that's not fantasy for once but takes place in actual Britain, with mentions of real world names and places, so the translation matching the speech is a lovely welcome.
Ok, well, I skimmed up to half the novel, and then read the spoilers, and I think it might read better in comic form than novel form, because it's meant to be a micro drama in vision. However, it's true the MC is a doormat. Even when she had a plan in mind, she gives up on it last minute because she can't make up her mind if she wants to go through with it. There isn't a braincell up there in that attic.
I also have no idea why the ML is so devoted to her since the beginning, and puts up with her fickleness and lack of communication. Understandably, everyone denied her identity in the beginning so she didn't want to repeat herself, but at I think at the halfway point, the ML feels like he trusts her enough to believe her and even she thinks so, but she still won't come out and say what she wants. That she's really Marianne, that the mystery child is Gloria's illegitimate offspring, or that she still wants revenge. I'm pretty sure the author is just dragging it out to earn more money, which is why it reads exactly like those micro drama tiktok shorts lmao.
For those who are curious about the ending, (and I don't know anymore detail than this), but apparently Cedric, the ex-husband catches syphilis from sleeping around too much, and is broke. Gloria ends up in jail, but catches smallpox and loses her memory of everything except her name.
I'm not sure if this type of ending is satisfactory but that's what the forums say.

Well, it's an ok-read but my biggest irk with this webtoon is how awkward and clumsy the female lead is portrayed visually. I get that she is victim of abuse and that can have lasting effects but what I mean is... she still had nobility tutorship (at least verifiably up until she was 19), and most likely queen consort training. But she comes off so stiff and unfamiliar with her surroundings that it's strange?
Idk, i disagree. I think it’s actually pretty fitting. Concerning her nobility training from before she became queen, we know that her father was fairly indulgent, not teaching her how to manage an estate which is usually a part of nobility training, etiquette wise we know that people view her in good light as a beauty and even graceful. She does stand on the sidelines during events but that’s explained by her not wanting to even see the King. She interacts with other nobles and servants well enough so her mannerisms shouldn’t have any problems per se. As for her queen training, just based off how she’s treated and seemingly disregarded, we can’t be sure whether she did go through any training as she never had any duties to attend to besides showing up next to the king. And finally, she’s obviously been through betrayal, abuse, and death, if anything i’m surprised her panic attacks aren’t worse
Perhaps I wasn't wording it clearer. But, I'm saying how she is observed by other characters and how she is illustrated visually to the reader has a gap. Like, she's drawn hunched, or squirlly, or squeamish in formal settings with others around even when not much is happening. Sometimes her hands just don't know where to go. Perhaps the artist just isn't skilled but the visuals mismatching the scene bother me.
In regards to the rest of your reply, the webtoon never really addresses her education, so it's just your interpretation versus mine. However, she did say herself their tutor has been watching them since young. She's already lived 20+ years in noble society, there's no way she wouldn't pick up how to be more poised just by virtue of interaction, and that really has nothing to do with her trauma. Take the queen for example, who is also a victim but still looks regal in mannerism.
Fair enough, i guess it is mostly just a matter of perception.

I was about to get baited into reading this because the cover art makes her look strong and the synopsis made it seem like a story about her becoming the strongest and avenging herself... not to mention being smart and savvy with politics...
But by your comment she's one of those female mc's that are described one way but portrayed another in the comics... the super smart that only make dumb decisions and the confident with a strong personality that keeps walking on eggshells and being a people pleaser all the time... I hate those... and it's even worse if they forgive and forget everything as soon as a man gets involved... all things that would piss me into dropping a comic...

People have no reading comprehension these days. They're not father-daughter and it's not pedophillic either. ML fell for the adult FL. FL got cursed to turn into a kid temporarily. ML suspects the kid is FL, and FL changes back and forth between forms.
The art (as in the drawing's line work) is beautiful but the colouring is so saturated and high contrast on blast, it's a bit difficult to look at and read? I wish they had a different colourist on team.

Nah that first chapter? I know it gets slightly better, but that one takes the cake for dodge-burn brush abuse. Anyway, it's just kind of an unusual combination. Usually when the linework is skilled, so is the painting, but for webtoons it's done in teams, and it kinda looks like there's at least 3 separate assistants for this one based on the style changes.

Honestly not that bad? The comments are so exaggerated. It's decently entertaining in a sort of dramatic type of way. It's fresh to have a deuteragonist (two equally participating protagonists), and there is a decent amount of underlying lore.
