My guess is that he probably saw the boss doing it, so he tried it and liked it, plus sleeping in the closet gives more of a tight and dark place to sleep, which ig it's easier to sleep there? More comfortable?
Plus, I don't think Taeman was ever closeted with the fact that he likes men, he was very opened when he realized he liked Dahyeok, and even told his colleagues right away
