You guys have clearly never had any serious mental health issues. Just because her life may seem easy doesn't mean it is. She has worked hard her entire life and was never happy, then suddenly one day she is transported to another world where she can finally rest. The mental fatigue she had was slowly starting to heal. But the ml just came along and started doing things she wasn't used to. And he does because he thinks thats the normal thing to do and he doesn't really take her feeling into consideration as much as he should. She is a seriously depressed state and forcing her to do these things is taking a serious toll on her mental health. If he was seriously trying to understand her instead of projecting what he deems she should be doing then she would be recovering way faster. Everything she worked hard for was not only taken from her became utterly useless, with what he is doing now he is making her realize how much more useless her skills are.
Agreed. If I were her I would totally do the same. I think the emperor is close-minded, not a bad person, just doesn’t think anyone thinks or heals differently. His way of healing is distracting himself, and dayeons is by resting. I hope next chapter he realizes this!

I'm not saying she isn't "stubborn", but in Daeun's case it is because of her depression/mental health

Hmm ur right but we shouldn't blame ml cuz if ud leave a depressed person rotting inside a room who wouldn't get worried. Ml is just worried for her
And leaving her do what she wants like rotting in that room wouldnt help her heal. In my opinion, the ml did the right thing. He is trying to bring life to her. U know like when ur parents force u to do the right thing, ud think theyre just annoying and not respecting ur decisions but ur just using that as an excuse and u know deep down that they care for u. Like the parents wouldnt care if u hate them because they rather u hate them than leaving u rot inside a room. And they are a patient enough to wait for u to realize everythin. Not saying that the ml is being a father but u know wat i mean
