According to sources all over Reddit and insta there is a madness or berserker disease that causes the husbands of his family to watch their beloved wives be killed and decimated. The pope/high priest and the supposed “saintess” are corrupters and to distance himself from his wife he plays into the card of affair when he’s madly and deeply in love with the wife because he’s afraid of her dying. He went crazy after she died and killed himself with a time reversal power to turn back time with only her regaining memories while he forgets because he prayed she wouldn’t wed him a second time but she wants their child.
