She's listed as near sighted/short sighted but can't see things close to her, like Rufus's face, clearly. That would actually be called farsighted.
I'm near sighted, I can't see into the distance but can see things up close and NEAR to me.. Far sighted can't see up close but can see FAR away. Hope this helps someone for the future!
She can actually see his face but not as clear as when she wore the glasses and yes she is near sighted that's why she's having trouble looking at the calendar when ML asked her if she's free on a specific date. And there are some cases which near/far sighted people are having trouble seeing things, it's not as clear as wearing thier perspective glasses. Maybe she had very bad eyes compare to yours.
I understand what you're trying to say but then she wouldn't be classified as either. There are multiple types of bad eye sight and they could have just chalked it up to that. It's not about her needing glasses, I need glasses too. Near sighted literally means you can see things near to you, but not far away. Far sighted literally means you can see things far away, but not near to you.
This is a definition, not an argument.
The calender isn't close to her, so that would make sense for near sighted. Her fiance is sitting right next to her, so that would NOT make sense for near sighted. THAT'S why I said it's an inconsistency. She can have bad vision both up close and far away but it would NOT be called "near sighted" in that case. It's probably juat a translation error, since it's rarely 1:1 when translating. It's a minor nitpick, just something that stuck out to me because it's incorrect. If it doesn't bother you, that's fine.
