I remember I said something like that to my mom when I found out she tried to abort me. My childhood was not happy because my mom would physically abuse me but I still love her anyways. When I became a teenager, my mom changed for the better, but that's also the time I learned about her failed abortion. I resented her for it and I was troubled for a while. So, I can feel for Byul a bit. It's easier to get over physical pain, but knowing you were unwanted by your own parent scars you differently.

I love the angst, I have to reread it just to hurt my feelings twice.
