The story follows a girl who is royalty or of high status. Her father forces her to keep a slave as a pet, she refuses but eventually she decides to give in. (I believe she already knows the future, probably because she gets isekai’d)
So she picks a specific guy to be her slave because she knows he’ll be powerful. She’s the only person in her family who doesn’t torture the slaves. I can’t remember the rest of the story but they definitely fall in love.
I remember a different Royal member having a slave and that slave was also in love with the mc.

I’m pretty sure this is a romance manga.(can’t remember if it’s Korean or Japanese) The world setting, there are people who live underneath and people who live above. People who are living under are poor people and people that don’t have power. Looked down upon. While the higher are more well off and have status. The girl falls in love with her childhood best friend. Years past and when they grow up, the best friend kills her parents, has an underground war, and takes a portal to the world above. Leaving some people still down there, (Mc included). Years pass and she learns magic?(I believe) and she becomes high status because of this allowing her to live on the top. That’s all i remember.
