First anime was Pokemon, nearly 20 years ago. It played during the Saturday morning cartoons on one of the few channels I could get with my family's old tv's bunny-ear antenna. First manga was Fruits Basket, around 10 years ago-ish. Reading that was what led me into the wonderful world of manga and anime, and I've been hooked ever since. :D   reply

Subtitles all the way. I hate listening to dubs, especially in English. The voices grate on my ears and sound so unnatural. I avoid watching anything that doesn't have a subtitle option.   1 reply
