One of the best slow burns lol. It's disappointing there's no sequal that we see them finally evolve past their "we just friends" comfort zone lmao. The author basically confirms it with the ending statement but we won't get to see them evolve past this ourselves or their wedding . GIVE ME THE FULL COURSE PLS. We dont need any private scenes, I just wanna see them finally admit their love and make it official like it should be when it's this good ╥﹏╥
"I was happy to hang out with you tho *blushes from embarrassment from having to explain his feels to a dumbass dense inconsiderate friend*"
"Hold my depression delulu is the solulu bc why be this happy blushing about hanging out with a FRIEND?"
BRO GTFO. WHEN THE FUCK DID HE SAY SOMETHING HE COULDN'T HAVE SAID TO LOVED ONES THAT ARENT A BF. HELLO?? I'm so tired of him atp I don't evem care to see a side story for him. Let him rot
By the latest chapter, it all just feels like an overthought feverdream . The pacing in the manga feels more jaunted and faster than the anime even tho the anime also felt like it started getting fast. Or maybe the manga was jaunted from the start and the anime happens to make it feel more full-boddied than the manga bc anime generally requires more flow. Like compared to the first season and stuff, the journey around the world ended up very shorthanded for even what I expected. There was so much potential in making it slightly less rushed but still was enjoyable. Just rushed as it went to the world journey and rocket and negotiating on the moon. It felt anticlimactic that it was just a rando colony of tiny sentient machines. Idk how to feel about it. It would be worth it if we eventually get to see the time machine actually work, but would the author bother to go that far when it seems like they already decided to rush the ending? Since a certain point, the whole plot just started feeling like they were vasically telling me the whole story in the fork of bullet points as if it was the outline instead of a final draft of a novel ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭. Fun story tho truly. All that's left is Senku and kohaku's wedding post-time machine achievement and (by a miracle) Ryusui turning in curiosity to Xeno and Stanley with a look of "I saw something" and them being like "so we been engaged since a day before the suicidal rocket launch but who needs a ceremony (● ̄(エ) ̄●)" . Everyone, esp chrome (except for Senku and Ryusui who were there when Stanley was depetrified and IMMEDIATELY caressed Xeno's lips) being like

It's just the usual pacing of Shonen Jump mangas. Theyre meant to be face-paced and have a sense of urgency cuz it's one chapter per week release. You can feel the same pacing with Demon Slayer, JJK, Sakamoto Days, SpyxFamily etc. cuz they all came from Shonen Jump. They tend to get straight to the point in each panel cuz they have a limited number of pages to complete before the deadline. It's quite surprising Dr. Stone was a weekly release given how detailed the drawings are. JJK, for example, had a time where the author released half assed drawings just to meet the deadline despite having injuries on his hand.
Good story and all, it's finally over, but they always piss me the f off. The couple and Yohan's gay brother. Out of all three Yohan has the most sense about dealing with the world and not giving a fuck what others think, and yet he'll still blame himself to death over stupid things, and ofc the other two bury themsleves even more in misery at any given opportunity in a way that is just the most tiring like tf. From what the author said in the epilogue there will never be any character development beyond this and that's fucking shit. They shouldnt be together if they're never gonna own up and face the real issues. Fuck comforting each other after every argument and filling each other's hole they have in their damn hearts, they need to actually put effort in changing for the hole to get anywhere near filled, not just covered and glossed over with some dopamine, and then we can say they are good. Frickin Yohan settling for second-rate happiness with petty fighting that often, nah man I could never. It's a shame they aren't gonna try from what the author insinuated.
Every now and then these days I find myself with chapped hands from frequent washing and forgetting to put on lotion due to working in healthcare. It's an awful feeling so I honestly don't know how Shiratoni put up with it just to hate himself (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜. I mean did he never even try to carry fancy lotion to use after every wash???
