Jaekyung knows that Dan is a very empathetic person and takes responsibility for others more than for himself. He figured that if he said something in a moment like this, Dan would only take responsibility out of obligation and not out of reciprocity. Besides, he sees himself as the cause of the bad things that have happened to Dan, so the best thing is to let him go. Maybe with time, he can win Dan's heart for who he is and not because of any kind of obligation Dan feels towards him.

You can't expect someone to change like an angel in just a short span of time . Jaekyung is just human, he gets pissed, he might still say something hurtful that he doesn't mean. He is NOT back to his old ways. He wants Dan to stay but he doesn't know how to say it. And seeing Dan packing his stuff so early, of course, he will be pissed. He is thinking that Dan is so eager to leave him as soon as their contract is already finished, like it was nothing. That is why he said those words
Jaekyung didn’t know any feelings other than fear, anger, and loneliness. He didn't have a childhood. The only goal he had in life was to survive, and to survive he had to win, so he did what he thought was right. Now, he is learning new feelings, realizing what he is experiencing and how to react to them. So jaekyung deserve a second chance.

I agree on that but I mean… maybe talk it out? But no, the author needs to keep readers engaged so she’s choosing the trashy way to drag things out even more. It’s so cheap…
