Okay, I think I know where this might be going... Assuming that the BDSM thing is Tae's way of expressing his feelings of abandonment. For example, we see that he doesn’t like being around his family. And it seems like he feels “excluded” (for example, when he sees who I assume is his brother, his stepmother (my theory), and his father from behind. That’s why the idea of restricting Jinwoo’s freedom really turns him on, and I guess that’s also why the idea of Jinwoo having other partners bothers him (we’ve already seen his psychopathic side).

Given that, there are only two paths this could take:

1. There will come a moment when Jinwoo sees Tae’s most vulnerable side. Tae will act totally crazy when Jinwoo sees him like that (he’ll probably act a little silly around him), but Jinwoo will muster up the courage and end up confessing his feelings to him and telling him that he accepts him just the way he is—even if he’s a little crazy. That will make Tae open up more to Jinwoo, and it’ll probably be the moment when Tae also decides to get serious with Jinwoo and tries to be a better person (and I think from this point on, he’ll also be a pillar of support for Jinwoo’s growth, though the order might be change). Of course, Tae’s past will have consequences, and Jinwoo will also have problems with his mother, but somehow they manage to move forward and love each other in the most schizophrenic way possible—but happily?

2. We’re following the same boring, toxic narrative as most BL manga(〜 ̄△ ̄)〜 Tae is a jerk, just giving Jinwoo false hope. And here it could go either way: the guy we saw beating up Tae runs into Jinwoo, projects his issues onto him, and starts the typical “you’re not that special” blah blah blah. Jinwoo, with his low self-esteem, believes him and breaks up with Tae. Tae acts like an idiot and tells him, “Why did you get your hopes up when we were just friends with benefits from the start?” It breaks Jinwoo’s heart. And then Tae starts feeling regretful, gets jealous (not to say crazy) when he sees Jinwoo with others, and the typical redemption arc begins where Tae is grovelling at Jinwoo’s feet( ̄へ ̄) Or it could be the typical misunderstanding arc where Jinwoo “seemingly” catches Tae kissing someone else, Jinwoo gets sad, breaks up with Tae, and blah blah blah. Or, of course, Tae has his most psychotic moment and ends up kidnapping Jinwoo ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

For now, even though Tae comes across as an idiot, I think he’s that typical character who doesn’t know how to express his feelings properly (probably because he didn’t have anyone he could trust, and because of his feelings of abandonment), and well, with Jinwoo, you could say he feels “safe,” which is why he’s so obsessed with him. I mean, he’s not really a “monster” as such (sure, he’s done some very questionable things, but in my opinion, they’re not “that” unpleasant compared to other BL stories I know #-.-)and of course, assuming that “grape” is the only way some authors know how to bring couples together ヽ(`Д´)ノ). That’s why I wouldn’t want it to go the second way—because besides being the same old crap, I feel like this story has the potential to be Peak cinema in terms of plot development and to stand out from other stories ヾ(☆▽☆)

You cant be saying this has any potential to be unique when so far the whole story is all about the ml being a slut
