This just keeps getting better and better, I started this accidentally bc the cover was kinda similar to another manhwa but I’ve gotta say this has been a really enjoyable read. The OP mc trope is everywhere but the author does a really good job of combining the cultivation, historical and fantastical elements while keeping the pacing moving along at a clip so you don’t get bored. I also like how you’re not reading this and forced to accept the “good vs. evil” ‘unorthodox and demonic cult are bad guys’ BS that so many manhuas/manhwas enforce. MC is pretty chill and quite likable and so is his bestie. Lots of plots happening at once so I hope this doesn’t rush things and continues on as it has.
The alternate title could be Vivian’s Boobs lol jkjk I really like the character design of the ml, a hot tan red head! I am very intrigued as to why the parents were suspicious abt the emperor/study abroad and if it’s at all related to the ML measuring up to his name Orpheus… I hope they’re not working together to manipulate Viv, I was convinced that might be the case until Roser acted like they’d met already in the dreams during ch8. Now idk wtf is going on lol
The FL is genuinely naive but whatever…. The crazy distorted mouths and ever-inflating chests of the FL and the red headed villainess were really getting ridiculous though… the writing isn’t really compelling enough to keep me here, it’s not the worst I’ve read it’s just not something I’ll miss so I’m out.
Like, for a tktok rec this is act. really good! The plot isn’t new, but the author is a much better story teller than others I’ve read and I think a lot of it is bc of the pacing. We don’t get stuck for 10ch around a single event. Shit is moving along at a clip!
I’m looking forward to the revenge arc on the horrific marquisate dbags.. I hope that takes a few chapters so we can enjoy it. I’m guessing there will be more royal family drama ahead too. Really happy this is so good and the art is top tier simply bc the bar is in hell and everyone here has LIPS and that shit is impossible to come across in rofan manhwas
seriously I desperately wish that we are blessed with a chapter or 3 in which we get to witness the physical and verbal beat down of the second consort. Adults who prey on children deserve nothing less. Public humiliation as a result of said smackdown would be even better!
