But years before that before he met the kid he was like this strong martial arts fighter(?) and then along the way he fought this great massive being that might just be that little kid he took in. And there is also this one chapter where he was a student at this school where more kids had power like him. But he got into this fight with monsters in the middle of the city.
A truck crashed and what came out was these "alien" like monsters and this guy that the male protagonist just met.
