I have so many fucking problems with this manhwa. Despite that I do however think it had a pretty realistic emotional presentation, icl, my fav arc was the one that focused on the Mc's mental health, it was the only arc that didn't make me want to strangle the characters that much.
From the start of the story to the end the Mc and Ml have undergone an unbelievably minuscule amount of character development over the course of 12 years and 90 something ch's. The Mc and Ml still retain their main traits that made them a bad match in the first place, so if you could guess it didn't exactly work out very well the second and third time around either. I guess this would be what the story's about to some extent- learning how to love each other despite all differences, but it doesn't make it any less irritating whether I understand the fact or not.
The Mc is poor, he is relying on his scholarship to attend this prestigious high school renowned for it's good grades. The students? All, every single one of those fuckers, rich pretentious kids. Ml? just like the rest. The other noteable character from that highschool was so bad it made the Ml look good. He fucking basked the Ml in a new light, literally surrounded him with a saints halo.
Whilst the Ml raped, kidnapped and deceived the Mc, the other character the Mc met in high school became overly obsessed with the Mc because he was infatuated with the idea of stealing everything from the Ml. Weird right? It does not end there, because of the Mc and Ml's absent communication the Mc let the other character slide into his life as a friend. From there the other character proceeded to try and curry favour with the Mc by playing with his emotions, essentially manipulating him to love him, whilst the Mc was in a relationship with the Ml. The other characters main goal was originally to steal what the Ml cherished (Mc), however later on in the story that goal changed when the other character became not only intrigued but infatuated with the Mc. This man is psychotic. This whole manhwa starts off on a bad note because of this man, as HE was the one who killed the Mc's dad. The worst part is, even now, the Mc hasn't learnt of the other guys offenses, and to make it worse, the Mc wouldn't ever dare to view the other guy in a bad light, why? That's because a certain Ml does not wish to inform the Mc about why the other guys dangerous, and is just settling everything by dissing him out and advising the Mc not to talk to him again. That shit convinces literally no one, including the Mc. So the Mc has no idea about the other guy, which he considers a good- even close friend, who wishes to win him over so he can mentally and physically destroy him. The other guy literally dreams of abusing the Mc, he's actually a freak.
Besides that, the overall plot of the story is horribly paced as the time skips were really messy and rushed feeling, it wasn't meticulously planned out at all. There is no way. I also firmly believe season 3 (current season) is just an amplified melodramatic edition of season 1. It's exactly the same just on a larger scale, it is doing my head in.
The Mc and Ml are not meant to be, can their relationship stop being pushed? It's literally a bad mannered rich man and an insecure poverty stricken guy, who consistently butt heads because of their opposing views and differing beliefs. They both know full well they are divided and live into two completely different worlds that have no chance of coexisting peacefully.

Too early on to tell, seems alright so far though. There's hope

Brief summary- The Mc is a friendless orphan with a bad name that everyone makes fun of. I don't remember why but he didn't go to school for two years but when he went back at 21 he still had trouble making friends because one, he was older, two becasue he's obvs an outcast. Despite all this he did make one really good friend.. (his first friend). And therye all happy somehow, until the Mc gets his new seating plan and he's sat next to this guy (Ml). This guy is the drama, the subject of the rumors, also friendless. There's a rumor about the Ml killing his mum, but the Mc doesn't know this because he just returned to school after a long absence! So Lord behold he is friendly with the Ml because he's naive and doesn't know shit. Ml is skeptical at first then, as they all do, they develop an interest towards the Mc. Everything goes downhill from there. Ml is a manipulative, controlling asshole who thinks he's so cool and slick with his twisted version of "friendship". Hell ik the Mc is naive but I'm sure you should know somethings up when the Ml pulls out a literal contract so you guys can be friends. Believe it or not that's not even the worst part, the Ml proceeds to get insecure about being the Mc's second friend, and is like "you don't want to get close to me or be BFF's because I'm just your second friends and I'm clearly not as important". So whilst knowing the Mc doesn't have set boundaries he crosses the line of friendship under the guise of getting closer to rape the Mc. This is all whilst the Mc believes that this is how friends get closer and understand eachother faster. He's literally 21 how the fuck is he so clueless wtf.
Also just thought I'd mention, the Ml says shit like "good boy" and "if you want to c*m say, hyung I want to..." yeah... let that settle in for a bit. Now there's no physical way you can look me in the eyes and say that this is redeemable.

I really like the concept of the story simply because it has so much room for angst and complications. The Mc has to hide the fact he is an omega so he can become ruler (omegas are not allowed to rule) so his power obsessed mother forces him to take medication to suppress himself etc, you get the idea. Due to the consumption of that medication over long periods of time, it started to take a toll on his health. It got so bad that in-taking any more would cause irreversible effects. Saying this much I may as well say I like sickly Mc's with strong aspirations.

I NEED TO READ THE NOVEL ASAP.

I couldn't enjoy this for the main reason of the Mc looking and behaving like a literal child. I can take it to some extent but this man is not only a teacher but is also older than the Ml. Sure they were happy and healthy, but everything they do just irks me so much. Not to mention the side couples, ones repaying a debt and the others constantly roleplaying? I'll be real there was so much second hand embarrassment.

Also on a side note, isn't this a manhua, how the fuck did they escape censorship?
