The story begins with Taesung's grandmother being ill. Immediately afterwards, there is the funeral, but on the same day, it turns out that Haebom has suddenly left. Taesung is confused about where Haebom is after the funeral and searches for him for six months until he finds him in a café. Later, it turns out that Taesung's grandfather had threatened Haebom that he had to leave Taesung, otherwise he would make Taesung's life a living hell. When they finally saw each other again, Haebom didn't want to explain anything and they just had sex, which felt a bit forced. Afterward, the grandfather found out that they had met, and this time he threatened Taesung that he would make a few people rape Haebom while Taesung watched. So they went their separate ways again, but this time Haebom lives with Yonghee (the blond boy) and Taesung now works for the grandfather.

But the new one is more realistic and the smaller emotions is far more visible now (like when Zhenya staring at Taekjoo and start to feel something for him, or when he was suprised about a cute gesture from Taekjoo like “did you ate anyway” or “see you soon” he was like o_o what? somebody is kind to me…)
I know i was talking about the colors and values, if you compare recent chapter to start of season 2 you can see that now’s version is rlly lacking in those aspects, otherwise i dont really have complaints lol its gorgeous art but i would love more saturation, especially considering that they are starting to transition into the feelings phase

Right? For me what still kinda irks me is that he can’t comprehend why lyle ended their deal early? Even retrospectively when he put together that Lyle likes him, he doesn’t seem to understand that calling their thing «nothing» would maybe be a tipping point…
I also don’t like his communication style, or rather lack there of… he expects lyle to communicate everything and pushes him to say it even when he doesn’t, but in return he doesn’t tell him things.
Like the whole house thing and rut thing, instead of explaining it in a way that could reassure him, he decides to do it a roundabout way which causes anxiety. And not to mention the whole ex thing… like if you know your big mouthed friend be chatting up a storm regarding your ex, why not take tour partner aside and explain it and give him a sense of security.
(Sorry for the rant- I was just happy I wasn’t the only one TT)
Yeah no I get it, he’s pretty controlling and I think in a relationship there should still be some independence but he doesn’t seem to allow that for Lyle. And yeah, Lyle isn’t allowed to keep anything from him while he himself has a lot of stuff he hasn’t shared, which irks the life out of me. His friends are so mad annoying, and I believe you are who you surround yourself with. You’re telling me for 10 years they’ve been thinking you had this marriage type relationship with someone and you never realized? He never explained what happened in his relationship with Hazel or whatever? Are they even friends? Why would he introduce strangers to Karlyle.
And, when Lyle prepared a proposal and Ash forced it out of him with a humiliation ritual.. like are you kidding?? Sure Lyle was like aroused and whatever shit ppl say but poor baby was humiliated and lowkey forced.. I really hated that part.

I wish this version was the actual story.. this version of Euihyun seems much more laidback(?) or confident, not sure what the correct adjective is, but he isn’t as insecure as the main story Euihyun which makes me sad :( this version of Euihyun is very attractive and we get a glimpse of what he could've been like if he didn’t go through all that bullshit, makes me dislike Taeju again (just a little bit, cuz its not entirely his fault, but he put the frosting on the cake)

SORRY FOR BEING LATE im currently hospitalized LMAOO i might have typos bc of vision problems but here are spoilers:
So the novel is called “the dog’s mask” and the reason being is because taegun in his childhood was treated like a dog, his mother was supposed to get marriwd to mc’s father but some guy attemptwd to rape her so it got called off bc she was then considered dirty goods (i think this was mentioned in manhwa alr) and then she got with taeguns father who is also a bastard and mc’s mother and taeguns mother got familiar with each other and so mc and taeguns also met and mc was the only one to treat taegun like a human, so taegun fell in love with him and was in love since he was a kid
He would secretly go to mcs school in his free time just to see him and stuff like that, and yada yada time skip he found out that mcs step mother got a hold of a drug that could turn an alpha to an omega and he did his best to shut the drug business down but she already purchased the drugs in large amounts, and he found out that another alpha’s pheromones would help slow down or prevent the transformation due to the instinctive aggression alphas show in the presence of other alpha pheromones so he schemed to get near mc by making a deal with mc’s ex fiance so that they get introduced and he could help suppress the transformation, and lucky for him mc fell in love at first sight but because of the bad energy taegun gave off mc was too scared to reveal his feelings so all that misunderstanding happened, and this is also why taegun demanded to spend the ruts together (to help suppress the transformation with pheromone contact)
I think manhwa pacing is a little confusing, they were married for half a year before mc learnt about taeguns mother when he got kidnapped and then thats when he demanded separation and started to take down yusin (his company) to merge into taegun’s company bc he was under the impression that taegun married him for revenge and he wanted to help, but taegun still made sure they had sex during their ruts, and this went on for 2-3 more years and thats when mc asked for divorce thinking thats what taegun wanted but he obv said no
And then taeguns grandfather died not long after and thats when their relationship started getting better cuz idk i think taegun was in a better mood from there and had more freedom and as their relationship got better mc got more courageous about his feelings and also started to smile and laugh more which i thought was cute also taegun was down baaad for mc in the novel LMAO the atuff he said and fantasized were no joke
Anyways because mc already started getting drugged he was in a state where he between alpha and omega (had a womb but wasnt omega yet) which they saw a private physician for, had a mini argument because mc didnt mind turning into omega because he wanted to imprint/be marked by taegun and taegun wasnt happy with that because he was scared of the side effects that were mentioned (i forgot what they were tbh) but they made up and they went theu the imprint and it was also mentioned that if they had a kid mc would go back to being alpha (i forgot the reasoning behind it) and so they had one daughter and then taegun got a vasectomy and happy ever after
I might have forgottwn some details but the dream thing that mc had in the manhwa never happened i think, the omega that taegun was linked arms with in the manhwa was just someone that worked in his gang ir something also they never linked arms in novel, taegun only ever slept with (tried to) one or two omegas way before his marriage to mc only bc sex was also considering to be part of your standing in the gang but that didnt work out for taegun too well, anyway mc has a higher body count (before marrying taegun ofc) so thats not rlly a problem
