And he said it before that it's not easy for him to remain buff if he doesn't kill himself with heavy workouts, he's barely functioning rn how do people expect him to maintain his buff body, his leaner thinner body is literally a plot point and a sign of the decline of his mental health.
I don’t know ab all that he’s fine, but I definitely think that, he’s lost major traits/characteristics that kinda made him, him. It’s a good and cute dynamic but it definitely feels like I’m reading a totally different story
i 100% get that the physical changes is supposed to display how depressed he’s been and i think the portrayal has been done well but i’ve noticed that he looks legit shorter and shrunken like his head even looks sooo small compared to nanjos in some parts. idk how to describe this right too and im not sure if its just art style changes but his expressions feel drawn to be less masculine than they were in the past (could just be his sadness?? but i swear i feel this shift in the way his face is drawn) to me the loss of muscle mass and weight gets the point across enough of what he’s going through. i don’t think he needs to be twinkified beyond that. this is not to say that i don’t love his characterization rn and how pathetic he’s been in his yearning arc. i just kinda agree the reply above
