My interpretation is that the red haired guy was reading Potato’s storybook about a person who defeats the bad guys and becomes the hero, sort of like a superhero story. The red haired guy says that maybe if he can defeat some bad guys, he too can be looked upon as a hero/handsome etc to someone who hates him. The black haired guy assumed he’s talking about impressing another woman to win her favor and stops the car quickly out of jealously. We know that the redhead has been drinking and it seems as though he shares that if he only could have saved his Mom from abuse, she wouldn’t have taken out her anger on him and she would have loved him more. We see the panel of him as a child. When black haired guy heard this or realizes what he was hoping for he’s stunned by the red haired guy’s pained face, so he drops his umbrella and…hugs him at the very least but we’re all hoping it’s more…
Probably confused about the 'bully' tag like 'bad guy'. Its like the main character is bad so a lot of people hates him and when he defeated the monster suddenly people's perspective about him changed. Its like a Shrek story, but the part that gets me is does yellow see himself as the bad guy who needs to prove something to his mother or something in order to be loved?
