Omfg i love desscaras so much she’s an amazing character
Also I just really like the designs of pretty much everyone in the manga
But I also feel like as a whole the author is just so chill about gender, in a way?
Like the feminisation and masculinisation of both her male and female characters just brings me such joy
Designs like the ice witch and the bullet witch, Iruma kun’s devidol moments, opera, and irumas romance with the student council president, I just feel like this author’s lack of traditional masculinity and femininity allows for the designs, especially in irregular environments so detached from normal human society and its inherent boundaries and limitations of gender expression, to be so much more.
It’s almost like another avenue through which the imagination can be expanded and designs can be further explored. Evb in this series gives me gender envy as an enby I’m ngl
But also this comfort in expression of masculinity and femininity also presents the environment for deeper bonds and friendships to form between the characters without it having to feel like some budding romance. Like desscaras and ichi’s sibling bond is so much to me I love them a lot. Just my thoughts on the series so far I love them
