oh god that trope is shite... there's so few mangas which use r*pe as a genuine part of the plot, (E.G Stalker's Game - I'd recommend it as something that makes you want to throw up but read it again), but when it adds nothing, It's gross and unnecessary. (I'm heavily anti r*pe, but if it's part of the plot I'll read it so I get a better understanding of the story).

Great show. But I have to say it gets a little to much soap-opera-relationship-intanglement from time to time. And I'm not talking about Jack humping his way through the galaxy.
captain jack is epicccc, though I would say he is a lot more lively in Doctor Who but with more depth and emothion in torchwood. Season 1, the ep with the other captain jack(the real one) made me cry so much I think my soul dried and shrivelled up.
Yea like the Rhys-Gwen-Owen thing was a little unnecessary... the RetCon could have been used under better circumstances if she hadn’t cheated in the first place. I think it shoulda stayed the happy healthy relationship it was rather than her work taking over her entire life, ya know, finding a balance. Still, it was part of the show anyways and it did certainly spice up my dull old life
