Since i read a LOT of manga I may forget specifics in a few days lol but ill give my answer to how I understand it.

I thought this was odd too and was annoying but decided its probably bc the translation to English is lacking explanation and is vague, its probably answered better in the original language. **shrugs
I think this was related to the Omega dad being a single parent raising an alpha child by himself as a Omega and being poor (so not able to send him to a high end school) as well as to not being able to provide well for the alpha child bc Omegas were known to struggle in daily life (?) if they didn't have a solid partner because the in omega universe there's lots of prejudice about Omegas (in how they inconvenience others). *Sighs

What's the deal with that creepy bodyguard? I think he was exactly that lol
I think he was too obsessed with the whole pure smell thing..? his whole thing was super weird.
Why are there so many same-face grey haired characters?
I disagree with them all having the same face/hair (like the teacher and the younger brother lover, and former ML friend) I mean I could tell them apart so idk. In other stories you could say the same about those with black hair looking the same but thats not a typical complaint that I hear.

Who's that random kid Taeyoon's teacher was looking for..?

I think the teacher was sincerely looking for that missing student but also used it as an excuse to check on Taeyoon as well as to get his help but really, that was not a good idea to place that on him. (bc it could have been a dangerous situation) But Park Jaein omega was right when he went to the school grounds to have a open but firm confrontation, the teacher was too late in not doing any thing for Taeyoon as a teacher bc Taeyoon had left and didnt come back.
So the deal was made if Park Jaein found the student, the teacher would leave Teayoon alone and to not go out of his way to meet up with him again, which I actually thought was rather mature (a lil over baring too lol) of Park bc he was right, the only thing the teacher was bringing to the table was sad memories and not actually trying to make anything better for Taeyoon. (im just glad Park didn't throw an out of control tantrum) Thought a mature talk would have been ideal to get over this bridge.
why are the pheromones activated like special fighting moves?
In the Omegaverse, pheromones are a big deal. It kind of gives you a statues type the in the Omegaverse.
In the story both Taeyoon and Park Jaein both struggled to be able to control their pheromones. (both bc of Psychological and drugs)
In the Omegaverse, controlling pheromones has to do with attracting and keeping a partner.
So when a legit seme is in control, yes they can activate their pheromones whenever and ukes can do both voluntary and involuntary pheromone responses.

my basic understanding of alphas is that they're automatically seen as successful and are more likely to be presented with opportunities so i would've thought that giving birth to one would be like a leg up in society. i also thought they're more likely to get special treatment, so it was really surprising that being an alpha was worse for him?

for the silver haired characters, it's just really surprising that it's the choice for so many of them, like why not red or brown or blonde for variation? it really made it hard for me to tell btwn who's who, jaein's younger self, the teacher, the teacher's partner, and jeongwon (??) could've honestly been the same person bc even their hair styles are similar and if there's no actual reason they need to all have the same hair color, diversify and make it easier for the reader?

lol your right in that the majority of manga's that has the Omegaverse in it, the Alpha is usually a super top and pretty successful. bc of this, that was a pretty unusual take as where the mangaka/writer made the alpha ..unfortunate. but as we see it worked out in the end (▰˘◡˘▰)
I'm actually surprised that they didnt go ahead and make the omega a power bottom - like he WAS assertive but once things go heated, our alpha was doing most of the work in Xx lol
hmm thats true ... we did have multiple silver hair characters. They could have made their hair a bit more different I agree, XD
I did notice how they made all the brothers hair different colors, like if anything, their's should of been the most similar in color (realistically) but in the end im glad they weren't. Now THAT would have been confusing XD
