Why is everyone saying Misfortunate? I am genuinely curious if this word actually exist because I have never heard anyone using this word before. I only heard Unfortunate.
I liked this story but i have to drop it because I feel so sick seeing Rea's father. I don't just hate him i feel genuinely disgusted by him and her mother too. I have read many thing but a father violating his daughter just to show that he can is just so disgusting to me. And the audacity that he has control over her body and heart just because she is born from human when she finally escaped by literally dying he didn't thought about his actions about why she wanted to leave he just wanted to have her back to control her.
I was gaslighting myself into thinking that the chairman and Ml only had a father son relationship and Ewon just enter the room at the wrong time and misunderstood in the main story but the side story confirm it. Why? I was so happy, now I have to live with this disgusting truth.
I might be wrong but the Momotaros seems kinda racist. Like they have no reason to attack thoes Onis who are just quitely living their lives expect from the fact that they have oni blood and there might be a possibility somehow they might go berserk but like some of them doesn't even awaken powers. It's just like people from a race hating an another race because some of them turned out be bad people and now they are labeling the entire race bad because of a deed from one person, while they conveniently ingnores that some from their own race or family done the exact same thing but they are labeled misunderstood or wrongly accused. I know it's not their fault because they believe what they were taught from a young age and also seeing Onis hurt their loved ones but they miss the fact that they are the ones who attacks first most of the time. At this point it became a generational hate towards oni rather than saving civials and their families.
Right? You're not wrong. It's true that Momotaros were raised from birth to hate Oni, but at this point a lot of them are just willfully cruel. Some of them feel like natural-born monsters who refuse to question anything because of their ego and ignorance. They’d rather keep labeling Oni as evil than admit that they themselves are the ones being cruel.
And the fact that people like Mikado or Shiki’s father exist proves that being understanding is actually possible... They show that Momotaros can choose a different path. Which honestly just makes the rest of them look worse, because it means many of them simply choose not to change ;-;
I was so happy that I finally got a phycso uke but he turned out to be a rapist. I tried to finish it but I just can't
I don't really liked the first half because of the rape scene and there relationship also felt rushed but the second season it a lot better. It actually explains their actions a lot(there is no excuse for rape). Mc fell for Ml because he saw him as equal. Because the Ml was also a victim who was also hated and abused by him parents and he was still standing strong, it also made the Mc to feel a sense of security about being a relationship with him too but when he saw the Ml's adopted father loved him, he started to feel insecure because he knew that they are not the same and sooner or later the Ml could leave him because unlike the Mc the Ml have people who loves him.
The Ml too was a victim of abuse and that also significantly affected how he treats the Mc at first and relationships in general. As the people who were supposed to protect him abused him just because they could, he also started to Bully and abuse people who were weaker then him. He also lost fate in adults (like how easily he believed that his adoptive parents only adopted him because of his face) and have no hesitation fighting them.
Both of them are not perfect especially the Ml but they are both hurt peoples who are trying to improve themselves so they doesn't hurt each other. I think there relationship has improved a lot and will continue to improve.
Also, I loved the dad, hope we could see more chapters of him and the ml building there relationship and the ml introduction the Mc to him.
I hate this story, not only because the uncle who was too much involved in his nephew's life but because of the ml too, like you saw your uncle tried the classic 'I will give you money so leave my son move' But instead of getting angry because he tried to bribe and humiliate the person he claims to love, he thanked him? Like hello, shouldn't you at least try to stood up for him.
And the uncle just causally make his grown ass nephew a perfect angle who needs to be protected from the world because he turned out to be gay which according to him is his only weakness and the Mc some bad man who deceived his precious nephew and is taking advantage of him and Ml didn't even try to change that, he let his uncle think as he likes.
If you are just going to ignore that your family members treats your lover like crap, if you can't stood up for him since the beginning and just think that your uncle getting jealous of your lover is just them being protective of you, then I can't see your relationship last long.
Out of all the character I think the Mc is the most sane and likable. I won't say that he is very nice but compared to a weirdo who is obsessed with his nephew and a ignorant ml who choose to ignore that and only see what he wants to see, he is pretty good.
