I kept waiting and waiting for the redemption and it just did NOT come. And it's not even that jk is "too far gone" I've read manga before with MCs so fucked up that still actualy had a great AND satisfying redemption...
Hell even BJ Alex handled that part a 100 times better, it feel strange now that it's so inconsequential here. Like yes JK expresses regret but the only reason that even remotely works is because Dan is suicidal and hasnt an ounce of self respect. Its safe to say we all needed to see JK grovel at his feet and it didnt really come
The ending felt so so rushed, and the use of the injury is honestly so dumb! Do you really need your boyfriend to bleed out first before you unlock empathy? Couldnt he have oh I dont know, get some character developent by himself?? (￣ε(#￣)Σ
That being said I don't really care that much anyway, at least the art is absolutely superb and the characters can live on, separate from how they were handled here. I also think that side stories might make this more of a satisfying conclusion.
Guys, its okay. Obviously the horse blames himself as the sole reason Dan got hurt. Makes sense that he'd be too ashamed to be by his side and also let him finaly leave, in his mind he has no right to demand that Dan stay with him. It almost got him killed after all
So they did acknowledge that he's a rapist, but the writer doesn't give a shit wow... those are.not my mans, they got replaced with whatever this is
