am i crazy or is juyeon looking a little more masculine throughout this episode? he looks less delicate. a part of me wants to think it’s because jiwook is starting to see him as intimidating since he’s scared of him right now. especially since he technically lost in trying to assert some dominance by punching him, since he was the one who suffered.
maybe i’m delusional and he will go back to being adorable next episode.
is there anyone who might know where i could read the novel? i’ve been searching for so long but I can’t find it on my sites with a translation that makes sense… Σ( ̄□ ̄||)
u can read it here! https://www.novelupdates.com/series/empathy/?pg=3#myTable
just register an account and you should be able to go over the chapters with ease
guys, yes the doors clearly are meant to be a disturbing detail to scare us about what Jingi went through. i loved this detail, i cried. also, people are saying it’s the amount of times he was r—ped, but this was definitely done to him several more times. there was another chapter where you see his shelves in his study room, and it’s FULL !! of tapes with Jingi’s prison number. I personally think these are all more labeled videos of him being assaulted.
oh mai god now that i think ab it you're probably right, and there's def more than jus him being assaulted sexually since his uncle is trying to torture him in any way possible....., the detail that the author adds is so good but so cruel :c i srsly felt so put off whilr reading the most recent chapter and i feel so terrible for jingi. i can't even imaginr all the other shit he's been through
yea, and if i remember correctly, Jingi had a lot of violation papers about him attempting to commit suicide, but the prison had to save him each time. i’m honestly having difficulty with understanding why the uncle wants him killed, despite acting friendly to his face and Jingi even knows it’s always his uncle setting him up to get killed by other prisoners. it’s sad that hyeonjae doesn’t know anything about what his brother went through.

everyone here is so insufferable and hypocritical. if you aren’t liking them, then don’t read the side stories. you’ll be completely fine without this part of the story, same as how the original story goes on completely fine if you skip his assault. it’s more weird for you to keep reading if it goes against your morals.
