I’ve pretty much read all of Fargo’s works. With Hate me so and love is an illusion I was seeing a lot of angst and some plot points that high key played with my moral compass.. But I think the title love is an illusion SUPERSTAR is beyond fitting. This is seriously the best version of any of their works so far. The art work has improved by landslides, where you can actually feel the space the characters are in along with improvement in fundamentals for the characters. Even the pacing of the panels and plot itself is so so lovely. I find myself smiling kicking my feet and rereading parts to savor these chapters lately. It’s so easy to just pick back up on every week. I’m just so so impressed with every element of this, ESPECIALLY for this to be a sequel. Which are typically known to be poor or just not live up to their original’s hype. But seriously, there is just so much substance and care put into this and I can proudly say that this series beyond surpasses love is an illusion. It feels weirdly good to not only see byul grow up after SOOOO much time but to see how far fargo has developed as a creator as well. Literally bought some chapters off the official sites just to give my roses!!

This is genuinely so peak like I cannot stop feeling so proud for fargo. Genuinely their best story yet!!

The bar is in hell . Although I agree this is Fargo's best, but it's still not that good imo
Art wise Fargo has come a long way and their art is beautfull now, story wise i think they could do better but I was rereading their other works and yes the bar is in hell
You don’t always need a story to be groundbreaking and extremely complex plot to make it good. It’s a simple high school romance story with really good pacing, good characters and pretty art. Is this something that will keep me up at night? No, but it is objectively a well written and well drawn piece. You can say it’s not your cup of tea but saying the bar is in hell is lowkey disrespectful to actual works on here that have no heart, soul, or skill put into them.
This is definitely the story with the least angst with other pieces having more serious tones and convoluted plot lines. But pacing wise it is leaguesss better than their previous works. The characters are also fleshed out nicely where interest is created in already known characters and our new ones. I feel like you can literally follow Fargo’s process and see them improve from mistakes, this series highlights that. But if you do enjoy more mature stories this can feel a little stagnant since it’s a lighter one.
Although I agree Fargo improved their artstyle, the story is a mess. It tries to have angst then suddenly changes it's mind.
They literally used Hyesung's trauma to progress Byul's love life! What pisses me off is how Fargo makes Hyesung look bad for not wanting to have contact with his mother who abandoned her.
This is very unhealthy, Fargo is sending a message that blames victims of neglect and abuse.
I stand by my statement, THE BAR IS IN HELL. Constructive criticism is not disrespectful. It important to call things out, especially when it can hurt others.
