I don't really know how to explain it but media calls it 'character with fake personality' or 'complex characters' and i really loved that concept, tho sometimes it's not represented to satisfaction or people hate on it. I think it really makes the story more entertaining and interesting.
Mentally ill characters. Esp aspd, bpd, narcissism , etc etc. all of them are flatly written and constantly demonized, stereotypical, and romanticized. Sometimes their personality is all about their disorder and their tragic upbringing.
