im not caught up bc im letting it marinate but the gist of it is mc grew up poor to a gangster father and a mother who walked out on them. his dad saved the life of a rich kid (ml) in a house fire and became the family driver. the rich kid’s bro died in the fire and the fam was like “why doesn’t your son (mc) live with us too kind of as a stand-in hyung/emotional support as our son (ml) grieves?” they are both kids btw but mc does live with them but grows resentful of the kid (ml) bc of how privileged his upbringing was. he feels he has to excel or he’ll be kicked out. meanwhile, the kid is enamored by him and follows him around like a puppy no matter how much the mc pushes him away (or outright bullies or threatens him). it gets more complex when mc finds out he’s an omega, and even more so when they find out ml is an alpha. even MORESO when he comes home one night and is attacked by an unknown alpha in his house. he assumed it’s the ml and his bitterness towards him turns into hatred which drives him to the US for his studies, which the ml’s rich parents pay for in exchange for him promising to work for them when he graduates. he lives freely there and excels in all he does, but with a looming burden on his subconscious that he will have to pay up at some point bc he wasnt born into this wealth, it’s being gifted to him. when he comes back to the country the parents suggest he and the ml (who he still thinks raped him) get married. he doesn’t feel like he can say no, so they do and thus begins their unhappy relationship. he is known as a bit of an asshole in his professional circles bc of how curt and harsh all his bitterness made him too. but then mc is in an accident and forgets all the trauma and history between them and his husband - the ml who he hated - is the only person there for him. and hubby has loved him this whole time so he is present and consistent through mc’s recovery. eventually mc, without his memories, starts to wonder why he didn’t like his husband since objectively he’s a sweetheart lol. his personality shifts as he is no longer burdened by the trauma and bitterness he used to carry around with him and they begin a new relationship based on the present instead of the past. they fall in love and mc ends up pregnant! he supports ml from home as he starts to take steps in his career too, but of course this is when mc’s memories start to return. he worries he will no longer love his husband or the baby once he remembers and unfortunately… he was right.

im waiting on some more chapters to come out before i continue bc i dont wanna have a bunch of cliffhangers in the middle of them figuring out where they go from there so that’s as far as i can tell you lol
