I get that he wants to, but knowing him I'd assume he would find some way to take the pressure off for Garam like giving the ring on a necklace or saying that Garam could leave his ring home and that only he would wear it. This is so not like the Garam whisperer we've seen in past seasons...
I suddenly recalled that there was a similar manga where the two guys also met and fell in love during high school and only confessed later. What I remember is that they were both into movies, one liked making movies and the other was I think an actor. The only difference was that the two met during college and not after starting working. I remember that one had a festival at their college and the other was invited by someone else to come watch the movie the movie club had made.
