So far I think the author's progression is purposeful and makes sense. The more Reirin shines (especially in Kei's body), the worse Keigetsu feels about it on the inside, and it's reached a tipping point for their friendship. But I think this is probably the best turnover time for Keigetsu to prove her point that Reirin is reckless, and for her to start gaining more confidence in herself.
Look I don't mind a all-out villain for the protagonist, but I really hate the way they write her to be kind and morally just only at her own convenience. She'll chastise the robbers for killing innocents and then force someone else to go kill innocents just because they happened to brush her the wrong way personally. What a hypocrite. I'd rather she have been a full-on fucked up ev-rulez!-person from the get-go instead of all these platitude shifts and excuses. She was smart enough to run the country, but not smart enough to get everybody in line to respect her for the work she did, and then decided to take the low-ground, unjustified way out. I'm amazed there are readers who think she's smart and different from all those other brutalistic seinen comic protags. She's as retarded as the writer.
Maybe that's the flaw in her character and it's intentional from the writer. A hypocritical female lead of this level is hard to come by nowadays.
That's totally her flawed. she's neither totally evil, neither totally a saint. She's a contradiction.
The author tried to make her have depth instead they made her a self absorbed bitch. The story is pretty generic and bad. The writer must have been brain dead when they were making this
