This reminds me so much of all the mystery/thriller romance pocketbooks I read! Lol. To be honest I totally understand why anyone would want that bastard Hindley dead. He deserved it after all the terrible things he's done with Rosen and Emily. I love how Rosen found a best friend in Emily, too, and how the story ended with everything falling into place: Ian got exiled but he was able to request to be dismissed in an island near where witches live, and most importantly, that island does not despise witches, so Ian can be together with Rosen without any problems.
I love Layla, too. She is the reason why everything happened in the first place.
It's been a while since I enjoyed a story that is not isekai. I'm hoping to find another gem to read soon.
At first I enjoyed it because it was such a light and funny read, but then the author decided to rush things towards the end. The ML did not appear as much as the dog servant but then they suddenly fell in love. And Shana why did you kiss the dog servant on the LIPS when you're in love with the emperor??!
If you're going to make a 2nd season, might as well let the story unfold in a slower pace than rushing it on Season 1 then creating a whole new plot on Season 2.
I can't even get myself to continue Season 2 now because I felt frustrated finishing Season 1. Will it be worth it?
